I recently bought a "Piano discovery system" from a garage sale.
Unfortunately it doesn't have software CD and since makers of this
system is out of business I can not get it from them.

If someone has this system I would like to get a copy of the software
for this system.

My husband is about to pull what hair he has left out LOL. We have the patch for windows XP, I was hoping we could get this to run with windows 10. Has anyone had any luck? If so are you willing to share HOW you did it? We bought an older xp computer and it ran fine for a few weeks and now it will not recognize the MIDI keyboard notes for some reason (music and voice come through the speakers but the computer does not "HEAR" when you touch the keys. I did discover that it will run with the onboard sound cards and with a USB MIDI.

He bought all seasons but we can't find year 3. We have the christmas one and gospel too.

I just pulled the system out of my basement. I am trying to see if it worth anything. I bought it from a high end childrens catologue about 22 years ago. My son was too young and I put it back in the box and forgot all about it. I am wondering if it works on today's computers?

It can work on today's computers sort of. There is a patch for purchase on the web somewhere that allows it to work in XP and later if your system is 32 bit. Most systems are now 64bit. In that case,you can get a copy of windows 95 or 98 from eBay and run it in a virtualbox.

I have several of the volumes and am willing to share. I still need year one disk one though its the hardest one to find.

After a lot of trials I have it working perfectly on a modern 64 bit pc. It took some effort to get it set up but it's worth it. The "XP fix" could no longer be found or purchased but using my method you don't need it.

Here's a summary of what I did.

Install Dosbox (a special build that has midi input)

Install windows 3.11 in dosbox

Install piano discovery system and get everything up and running (the sounds were poor quality and laggy)

Install virtualmidisynth with your choice of soundfont.

Voila. Runs perfectly with a USB maudio axiom 61. No lag. Great sound. I'd be glad to help anyone who needs it.

I gather that you have the original lessons and games driving virtualmidisynth?
Quite neat if you can do that. What's your opinion of those lessons?
From roaming the Web, it seems that a lot of thought was put into them.
Seems a shame that they've been lost to history. I wonder how tightly
the materials are tied into the code, and whether they could be separated
out and made OS agnostic.

Not clear if you have the original K/B, as you say you're using a nice
Axiom. [I love mine!]
