Anyone using one of these for projects? I am trying to figure
out how to us the MIDI IN socket to drive the synth from my
keyboard but don't seem to be having any luck.

Hello, and I'm not sure I understand. Doesn't this device come with
software that recognizes standard MIDI commands? I presume the MIDI
input to the device is via either the traditional DIN connector or USB.
Connect the synthesizer to an audio amp & speaker and cable your MIDI
sequencer/DAW platform or MIDI keyboard/controller to the synthesizer
MIDI input connector and have at it. Sincerely,

Sadly, it came with no real software (there is a library
for using it with the Arduino on github) and it came with
no documentation. I compiled and ran the examples from
github so I know it actually works when driven by the
Arduino but when I hook my keyboard up to the MIDI IN DIN
connector, nothing.

I'll play with it some more today.

Success!! Seems there is a solder pad that connects the synth to
either the Arduino or "ALT MIDI". ALT MIDI is the DIN Jack. Having
now tested it with my keyboard I am pretty sure it will work for my
real project which is to convert my old Baldwin into something usable
again.
